    NAGPUR: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati made her prime ministerial ambitions loud and clear while addressing a rally of over 50,000 state-level Bahujan Samaj Party workers at Kasturchand Park here on Sunday. The BSP supremo addressed the rally from a stage that was made as a replica of the historic Red Fort in Delhi. BSP workers in Nagpur had roped in local decorator Digambar Bagde to erect the monument's replica.

  • Sheikh Hasina's India visit may seal Teesta pact

    DHAKA: Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina will make her second visit to India in September, when the two countries will complete the Teesta agreement two years after it was originally scheduled.

    Announcing Hasina's visit, foreign minister Salman Khurshid told journalists at the end of his two-day trip that he had also laid the ground for President Pranab Mukherjee's visit in early March.

    Haschke and Gerosa have reportedly claimed that Tyagi would keep them updated on the tender for the 12 helicopters during their meetings, which are believed to have taken place six to seven times.
