    NEW DELHI: She spent close to five months in Dasna jail after being charged with murder and destruction of evidence in the Aarushi-Hemraj case, but dentist Nupur Talwar's wait for freedom finally ended on Tuesday as a Ghaziabad court ordered her release, following a Supreme Court directive last week. Special judge S Lal ordered her release in the morning on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh and two sureties of the same amount.

    Two blasts targeting military buildings rocked central Damascus Wednesday, a witness and Syrian Television reported.

    The blast in the upscale Abu Roumaneh neighbourhood was aimed at an Air Force headquarters that commands warplane strikes against rebel positions across Syria. Smoke from the attack was billowing across the city, a witness told DPA.

    The BCCI on Saturday denied media reports that Deccan Chargers franchise has got a stay order against its termination from the IPL, saying that the matter would come up in the Bombay High Court on Monday.

    "It has been reported in some sections of the media that the Bombay High Court has stayed the termination of the Deccan Chargers Franchise, announced by the BCCI yesterday evening," the Board said in a statement.

    The BCCI on Saturday denied media reports that Deccan Chargers franchise has got a stay order against its termination from the IPL, saying that the matter would come up in the Bombay High Court on Monday.

    With draws from two white games so far, it turns out to be a mediocre start for Anand, who is back to competitive chess after a four-month break.
