NEW DELHI: Ranjit Sinha, a Bihar cadre IPS officer of the 1974 batch will be the next director-general of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, a paramilitary force that guards the borders with China.
Sinha will take charge from incumbent R K Bhatia, an officer of the same batch from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, who will retire on Wednesday. Bhatia was the ITBP chief for 18 months. Sinha had earlier served the force as additional director-general.
